My girlfriend is probably sick of me talking about how much better I feel. My anxieties caused lots of problems in our relationship. The ironic thing is that I created those problems in my head. I was always worried about something. When one problem solved, I found another one because God forbid that I be stress-free. But I am now. After a week of listening, my mood is stable, I’m calmer, I take things easy, finding it simple to chill and relax. I’m realizing now that I was programmed to be anxious on a constant basis. My mom struggled as a single parent and I always got the message that life is stressful. If you’re too peaceful, forget it, don’t get used to it, because it won’t last long. It’s just programming, just a concept I had in my brain. So grateful for figuring that out and reshaping it.
