Stop Morning Depression
Do you find yourself struggling to get out of bed?
Like no matter how hard you try you can’t put a smile on your face in the morning?
You don’t feel sleepy, but something… heavy, keeps holding you down.
Does this sound familiar to you?
BEEP BEEP BEEEEEEEEPPPPP!!! *annoying alarm going off*
Is it morning already? Already you can feel the heaviness. You’ve been awake just seconds and you already want to get back to sleep.
Maybe just a few more minutes…
Then a few more.
And a few more after that
Ok really, 15 more minutes and you’ll get up and get dressed for work.
35 minutes later, you’re rushing to work and eating while you go.
Unfortunately, this is the start of a drab morning. The kind of morning where an hour seems to last a lifetime. Where you wonder if somehow, time has slowed down. Your brain feels like it’s been coated in jelly and turned to power saving mode.
Why do mornings always suck?
Your energy levels are great during the day. However, mornings feel grey, disconnected and deeply sad.
MORNING DEPRESSION IS SILENT
The truth is that this is reality for far too many people.
Morning Depression can be debilitating- in fact it is. Every day, thousands of people just like you, battle this heavy sadness to start their days.
But thankfully, there is a solution (and no I don’t mean anti-depressants)
YOU CAN PERMANENTLY stop feeling sick of the world and of yourself.
You deserve to feel like the champion you are.
WHAT CAUSES MORNING DEPRESSION
Before I get into the solutions for depression. Let’s take a look at some of its most common causes.
Ever heard the saying “you are what you eat”?
Well, it’s true.
A proper diet (and I don’t mean eating salads all day) can help you feel more energetic and ready to handle anything that’s thrown at you. You see, most of us eat a typical Western diet (yeah, you know you love those burgers and fries)
I do too—but in moderate amounts.
Foods that are high in carbs and loaded with Trans fats make you feel sluggish.
When you feel sluggish, you act sluggish
Your ability to problem solve becomes limited
Your mind accepts defeat (even though all of the solutions to your problems lie within you).
Low Blood Sugar (Hypoglycemia)
An underlying reason for depression is low blood sugar.
Yet again, unhealthy diet rears its head.
Foods rich in refined sugars like candies, sugar loaded muffins, and lattes aren’t doing you any good.
Instead, you should go for more complex carbs like whole grain bread or brown rice.
Poor Sleep Habits
The thing that’s supposed to literally put all of worries to rest.
Does it work for you?
Do you find yourself on edge before you sleep or even in the middle of the night? Maybe you’re not getting enough sleep or maybe you’re getting too much sleep. Either way, it’s stopping you from starting each day with joy and enthusiasm.
Setting a definite bed time and adopting a daily wind-down routine can definitely help with that.
Are you big on coffee?
If you drink too many caffeinated drinks this can also affect your sleeping patterns.
Unwillingness to deal with reality
Sometimes you feel like you could really do with a break from your life-
A break from all of the demands that have been put on you.
A break from feeling like your life is going nowhere.
Here’s the thing, morning depression reflects just that- an unwillingness to deal with reality. That’s why you keep hitting the snooze button.
I remember there was a time in my life that I used to pray-that’s right I said pray- that rain would fall so hard that I’d be unable to get to work- EVERYDAY
That clearly wasn’t my proudest moment
But guess what…
I eventually realized that avoiding your problems magnifies and even multiplies them.
Looking back on life with all the ‘should haves’ that we tend to use- made me realize just how much time I wasted being afraid of life.
Here’s a few things you can do to stop morning depression…
Get Better Sleep Habits
There’s a reason why people say ‘sleep on it’ when advising someone who seems troubled. That’s because nothing beats a good night’s rest and morning signifies a renewal. Make sure and get at least 6-8 hours of sleep every night.
Go to bed at a reasonable hour- that way your chances of waking up feeling tired and sad are minimized.
By ‘have breakfast’ I don’t mean that you should have one of those sugary muffins they sell at your local coffee shop. I mean get something nutritious like fruits, eggs, cereal or even toast. Even if you’re not a breakfast person-you should still have some- just in case your morning depression is a result of low blood sugar.
The most powerful solution to depression
What’s that you ask?
Subliminal messages are complex messages sent to the subconscious mind without the conscious mind being aware of it. They are messages layered with suggestions and positive affirmations. These affirmations are powerful and can rewire the way your mind works.
They are recorded in a way that bypasses conscious processing. Allowing them to take root deeply and permanently rewire your mind to feel happier in the mornings.
It works almost like the advertisements you see on TV. When you see a delicious meal being displayed, you feel hungry. You weren’t hungry before, but now, you definitely want some good food.
Subliminal messaging works the same way. In fact, many advertisements make use of subliminal messaging.
The difference is that you’d be feeding your mind with positive messages that’ll allow you correct any habits or thought patterns that might not be benefiting you.
Subliminal Messaging will allow you reprogram your mind in any way you choose.
Using Subliminal Messaging You Will…
- Wake up in the morning full of joy and enthusiasm
- Enhance your energy vibration
- Start your day with passion
- Stop wallowing in sadness after the alarm goes off
