Perfectionism is the urge to be the best, do the best, and achieve the things you want exactly as you see them in your mind. But the irony is that being a perfectionist prevents you from being your best.
Why is that? Because perfectionism makes become less efficient. When you complete a task, you spend more time thinking of ways to improve it, rather than simply moving on to the next project. Sometimes, those extra things are not really necessary.
If you are a perfectionist, you may tend to miss the big picture. You put your focus on the minor details, which hinder you from seeing the main point.
This meditation will help you let go of the need for things to be perfect. It can help you be in a state of relief and surrendering while keeping high standards, which will allow you to focus on the big picture, or on the things that are truly important.
