How To Remove Subconscious Blocks

How To Remove Subconscious Blocks

Subconscious blocks

Nowadays there’s a whole lot of talk about the power of the subconscious mind. But its power can work against you unless you learn the necessary skills to remove subconscious blocks.

Your subconscious is so powerful, that some say it’s the propelling force of the law of attraction. Opinions about this topic are everywhere and only a few of them are right.

The truth is… Your subconscious mind can be your best friend as well as your worst enemy.

You see, your subconscious mind is incredibly powerful and processes information several million (debatably even billion) times faster than your conscious mind.

However, your subconscious is fairly indiscriminate in terms of its programming and sometimes causes problems in an effort to keep you safe.

Its function isn’t about making you happy. It’s there to help you survive. And one of the most common things it does to protect you, it to create subconscious blocks.

Subconscious Blocks

Have you ever felt like you keep walking blindly into the same situation over and over? Like the same toxic relationships? Always attracting the same kind of energy-draining friends? Never getting that promotion?

Despite ENORMOUS amounts of endeavors on your part to change these situations, they just. Keep. Happening.

If this sounds familiar, you might be experiencing a subconscious block. This means that your Subconscious has created a kind of barrier to protect you from something it sees as a threat.

Luckily for you, there are ways you can get rid of these blocks through Subconscious mind training.

Yup, that’s right! You can remove your subconscious blocks!
No matter what they are or who’s to blame for putting them there, just know that IT IS POSSIBLE via consistent practice.

The Power of the Subconscious Mind

Ok. Before we get into the nitty-gritty of manipulating the subconscious mind let’s really get a feel for the power that it holds.

How your subconscious mind is programmed, directly affects your “automatic” or deeply ingrained actions; i.e. the things that you do without consciously trying to.

The subconscious mind can also control your emotions by triggering the release of brain chemicals that activate fight or flight responses.

For example, had an unpleasant run-in with an angry Chihuahua as a child? Likely, you are not a big fan of that breed now. That’s because every time you see one, your subconscious triggers the release of chemicals that inflict negative emotions toward them. (In an effort to keep you safe.)

Now that you’ve gotten some insight into the power of the subconscious mind. Let’s take a look at some specific (and incredibly common) examples of Subconscious blocks in real life…

• You decide that it’s high time that you shed a few pounds. You’ve come up with a plan that will not only help you look better but feel better as well. You know that refined sugars and foods high in trans-fats are off the table, but yet you find yourself bingeing on chocolate bars and KFC.

• You decide that you’re finally going back to school to finish your education. You begin to have doubts, in fact, you conjure up every possible excuse as to why you wouldn’t be successful and don’t follow through with your plans.

What’s the reason for giving up?
Is it because the temptation was too great?
No.

The voice that urges you to eat just a little piece of chocolate or question your ability to succeed isn’t you giving into temptation, but your subconscious programming playing over and over in your head.

This ‘broken record’ is simply seeking to resolve the issue of cognitive dissonance.

Cognitive dissonance is the state of having inconsistent thoughts, beliefs, or attitudes, especially as it relates to behavioral decisions and attitude change.

Simply put, it’s a sense of discomfort that you experience when you make positive changes to your life.

That discomfort or resistance to change is your subconscious block.

Steps to remove subconscious blocks

1. Understand your feelings

Let’s start with this exercise. I want you to write down the first thought that pops into your head when you see these words.

Don’t rationalize them. Just run with the very first thing that comes to mind. I’ll tell you why after you complete the exercise:

  • Rich people
  • Money
  • Success
  • Love

How did you answer?

Did you say “Rich people … are wicked and manipulative?” Or maybe you went back to the old adage… “Money is the root of all evil.” If your thought patterns turned out to be similar to what I just mentioned, then these beliefs may be keeping you from true abundance.

You also might have said that “Rich people … are lucky because they were born with silver spoons in their mouths.”

That sort of belief keeps you thinking that success is only the result of luck or a birthright afforded to a select few. It prohibits you from seeing that you can make your life anything you want it to be.

You see, it takes the same amount of effort to believe that you are doomed to poverty, as it does to see yourself blessed with riches. Both results (poverty and riches) are the product of your thoughts.

Negative thoughts foster lack, scarcity, fear and even procrastination.
Positive thoughts, on the other hand, yield abundance, an enthusiasm for life and action.

2. Reflect

Have your parents ever told you that “money doesn’t grow on trees!” or even “I’m not made of money…money’s hard to come by.”

Many of us don’t realize that most of the things that our parents/guardians said to us were based on their own self-limiting beliefs. They may have their own subconscious blockages that were never addressed.

They might have encouraged you to get a stable job with a good 401k plan when your real passion might have been a career in music or possibly even art.

What your parents told you about yourself and your ability to be successful has programmed your conscious and subconscious mind.

You need to recognize that your current set of beliefs are not the truth. These are a bunch of false perceptions and junk programming that can be changed with intention and repetition.

3. Listen in on your Self-Talk, Thoughts, & Emotions

What sort of emotions do you express when you’re buying items at the grocery or when you’re paying bills? What is your emotional currency when you are spending money – Are you angry? Are you afraid there’s not going to be enough left in the bank?

If so, this may be the reason why abundance isn’t circulating throughout your life.

This applies to other areas as well, like friendships and relationships. When you meet someone new, whether it’s platonic or potentially romantic, are you often initially suspicious? Wondering who they are or what they want from you? Or feeling inferior to others – “why do they even want to be my friends”?

When things are finally going well in your relationship, do you find yourself waiting for an “inevitable” fight and breakup?

Be extremely mindful of the negative thoughts that go through your head and then stop yourself every time you catch yourself walking on that path. In the next step, you’ll learn how to –

4. Visualize

Remove your subconscious blockages by using visualization.
After you’ve monitored your thoughts and reactions to words like money, success and even love, you can use visualization to change them.

Create a clear mental picture of your goals and the person you would like to become. Close your eyes and visualize your goals. If it’s the financial freedom that you want then, see it, feel it, be it. If it’s love, the same rules apply. In fact, whatever your goal may be, you simply have to affirm and visualize.

The subconscious mind doesn’t know the difference between fantasy and reality. So the more you visualize it, the more you will trick it into thinking it is reality.

Keep working at these steps.
Make them daily practices.

Maintain this practice regularly. Do the first thing in the morning and the last things before falling asleep at night.

Be persistent and you will remove your subconscious blocks.

Till next time!
